Golden Glavcot (Rare Variety)
The Golden Glavcot is a small breed with an ideal adult weight of just over 2.5kg.
They are a little bit more 'lively' than the bigger, heavier breeds that we are used to, but all of them have fantastic temperaments and always come to the door for fuss & attention and they all love a cuddle - they really are a wonderful breed.

Bonnie, Clyde & Neeku
There are very few Glavcot breeders here in the U.K which means that finding fresh pure bloodlines to keep our Golden Glavcots going can be a challenge, luckily we also have 2 very special does to help us with our project… Elsa and her daughter Christopher.
(Yes, Christopher is a doe - long story!) Both of our special girls have Brun Marron de Lorraine in their breeding - being of a similar size, type & temperament to the Glavcot, they have been invaluable in our breeding programme. The Golden Glavcots became extinct in the U.K many years ago and a Mr. J Irons worked hard in the late 1960’s to bring them back, now 60 years later we are among only a small handful of breeders working to keep this breed alive. |
